His success has been well deserved. I'll defer to Al as to Berkley's wisdom, or lack thereof, in changing the titles of the original Quarry Four, but I've always been fond of the hokey cover photos, especially the guy with the fake silver hair posed as the title character on the cover of THE BROKER, with a babe hanging on his arm. But I promise he's not as terrible as the real bad guys.<br /><br />As a writer, whenever I read something Max does, it makes me want to hit the keyboard and write ANYTHING, even a grocery list, because his stuff just makes you want to do that. He sets the bar pretty high though. National Novel Writing Month is coming up in November and I'll probably go through one of the Quarry's just to get myself fired up.<br /><br />Can't wait for the next Quarry... or the next TWO Nate Hellers.
