His three novels (Get Out of Town, 1951; Tears Are for Angels, 1952; So Fair, So Evil, 1955) are a vivid snapshot of the South prio to the Civil Rights movement (with a murder or two thrown in). His real name was Tom Wicker and he was also a writer for the New York Times. He was in Dallas during Kennedy's ill fated visit there. I believe he is still living in Rochester, Vermont. I'm sure he would make an interesting interview. I quite enjoyed reading 'Get Oout of Town" this week and I sure you would too.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
